Shortfills Guide

We now offer two different types of shortfills in our stores, MTL (mouth to lung) and DTL (direct to lung).

MTL

MTL or Mouth To Lung shortfills are made up of 50% PG and 50% VG, these E-Liquids are
essentially 100ml versions of the Nic Salts and Freebase E-Liquids that we sell but with one key difference, they all come nicotine free. These are ideal for those customers that have come down to a low nicotine or 0 nicotine and go through E-Liquid relatively slowly. These E-Liquids are to be used in Mouth to Lung style devices and Pod Systems, which run at a lower wattage. The Q2 Pro is the ideal device to be used with MTL Shortfills and features a top fill system that allows for the wider nib and bottle size.

Note: MTL Shortfills can also be used in devices such as the Voopoo Drag providing that the customer is using one of the mouth to lung coil options (0.6 ohm - 1.2 ohm)

DTL

DTL or Direct To Lung shortfills are made up of 70% VG and 30% PG, these E-Liquids are best suited for high powered vape kits and produce a much denser vapor cloud and rich flavour. The high VG content also leads to smoother throat hits. As with the MTL shortfills, all DTL shortfills come as nicotine free. Higher Powered devices such as the Geekvape Aegis range are ideal for these E-Liquids, they ideally want to be running at 40 watts or above to get the most of the E-Liquid used and utilise lower resistance coils, 0.4, 0.2 and 0.15 ohm, to allow for a greater volume of vapor to pull through.

Nicotine Shots

In order to add nicotine to their E-liquids our customers need to purchase additional nicotine shots. Just like the E-liquids themselves, nicotine shots also come as either 50/50 and High VG and are available in a range of options.

MTL Nicotine Shots

Our Pure 50/50 Nicotine shots come in two different versions, 50/50 freebase (green label) and 50/50 nic salt (orange label).

50/50 freebase nicotine shots add nicotine to the E-liquid that allows for the same effects as our freebase E-liquids such as Pure and Vampire Vape. This means that the nicotine will offer a throat hit when inhaled.

50/50 nic salt shots add nicotine to the E-liquid that allows for a smoother draw, fuller flavour and eliminates the throat hit when inhaled in the same way that our salt ranges like QSalt do.

Note: we also offer Drifter nicotine shots. We offer two free bottles with every bottle of Drifter 100ml

DTL Nicotine Shots

Our Pure High VG Nicotine shots are available in three different versions, Pure High VG (purple label), Pure Ice (blue label), and Pure Salt (red label).

Pure High VG nic shots add nicotine to the E-liquid and give it a little bit of a kick. With DTL liquids we do not want the throat hit to be too strong due to the amount of vapor that these devices produce so using a high VG shot will smoothen the hit given.

Pure Ice nic shots add nicotine to the E-liquid whilst also adding a cooling (ice) background to the E-liquid.

Pure Salt nic shots add nicotine to the E-liquid but remove the throat hit, making it smooth and flavourful.

Mixing in Nicotine

When it comes to mixing in nicotine shots it is important you are giving the customers the correct information. Just because you are mixing in a 20mg shot it does NOT mean that the E-liquid is now a 20mg bottle, this is a common complaint that we get from customers that have purchased liquid elsewhere so please make sure you are giving them the correct measurements.

As a general guide:

25ml bottles:
3mg = 0.5 nic shots
6mg = 1 nic shot
50ml bottles:
3mg = 1 nic shot
6mg = 2 nic shots
100ml bottles:
3mg = 2 nic shots
6mg = 4 nic shots

It is illegal for us to sell any E-Liquid that contains nicotine in bottles larger than 10ml. It is vital that you are not offering to mix any nicotine into the bottle until after the transaction has been completed as doing so before payment will mean that you are breaking the law. Once paid for, you are simply doing the customer a favour rather than selling it.

Please be careful when mixing nicotine that you are refitting the cap properly, we do not want customers returning having had the cap pop off their bottle when they try and fill their tank.
