Pod Systems: What are they?

Pod Systems: What are they?

Pod Systems, What are they?

There are many things that come in a pod. Peas? Superman? Vapes?

Pod systems in vapes are not the same as the one that superman flew away from Krypton in. Though to some they are quite futuristic and what you would expect to see on the set of BladeRunner.

But what exactly are they?

Pod systems are a type of vape that has the coil section built into the tank. These are made from an acid resistant plastic and are disposable in nature (meaning you throw them away when done, not throw them into a bush. Please dispose of them properly.) This doesn’t mean they’re good for only 1 use though either, but instead that they will be replaced once they need the coil replacing.

Your choice of pod system will largely depend on personal preference, with the design of the mouthpiece and the shape of the shell being the main deciding points. There are two main shapes these come in, circular/cylindrical and flat/rectangular. Both of these are very common designs, from the Xros to the Q2Pro and the best way to find out which feels nicest for you is to drop into your local VapeHQ where we can show you samples of them.

Another choice that comes with these pods, which in some cases like the Qseries pods has multiple offers that will work with the same device, is the method of filling the pod. By this, I mean where and how you put the liquid into the device. Taking the Qseries pods as an example, the QOne pod must be removed, and a rubber seal opened on the side to fill the pod. Some people like this as it feels more secure for transit. The Q2 Pod however, has a sliding top, where the pod does not need to be removed to fill it. This is much more convenient and they are designed to be safe and leak resistant, with additional seals put in place to prevent accidents and rigorous testing to ensure that the design works.

Finally, excluding the colour options as yes, if you want it, some devices can be gotten in pink or a garish gold to make sure you can’t lose it, you also have the option of coil resistances. This will change your vaping experience in several ways, from the heat of the vapour, to the amount, flavour production and throat hit. When you find the coil that works for you, you will likely stick with it throughout your time vaping, so feel free to test out a few different resistances and see what works. If you don’t want to do the testing, drop into a VapeHQ store and talk to our specialists who can advise you on what will likely work best based on your needs.
