QSalts has officially reached one million bottles sold. While it’s a milestone worth celebrating, the number only tells part of the story. Behind every bottle is a development process that began long before it reached the shelf.

When we first started QSalts, we had one goal: make flavours we'd actually be happy putting our name on.

The late evenings trying another recipe.

The flavour that was nearly ready but still wasn't quite right.

The conversations that ended with, "Let's leave it for another month."

There are flavours we've held back for over a year. Not because we couldn't release them, but because we didn't think they were good enough yet. We knew they could be better, so we kept working on them.

It wasn't always the flavour itself that held a product back. Sometimes it was the smoothness of the inhale, the texture of the vapour, or the effect it had on coil longevity.

We invested hundreds of hours refining formulations that not only tasted great, but also performed consistently with the latest device technology. Working alongside some of the industry's leaders and experts helped expand our knowledge, but our ambition was always to go a step further, delivering a smoother hit, more balanced flavour, improved coil life and a vapour texture that felt just right.

Development has never been about creating the biggest range. It's been about creating the right one. The best one.

Over the last four years, we've developed and tested thousands of flavour variations. Some showed promise, others were scrapped after weeks of testing, and only a small number ever made it into the QSalts range.

Every recipe goes through thorough refinement, with adjustments to everything from flavour balance and cooling levels to sweetness and overall consistency. Sometimes the changes are obvious. More often, they're small details that most people would never notice individually, but together create a better product.

Quality doesn't stop at the recipe. Every ingredient is carefully sourced, every formulation is blended to strict manufacturing standards, and every batch is tested for consistency and performance before it reaches our customers.

Our lab's favourite phrase is probably, "Just try this one." An hour later, we've sampled ten nearly identical variations and are somehow arguing over tiny differences and suggesting tweaks

That process doesn't stop once a flavour is released. Feedback, ongoing testing and further development remain part of everything we do.

Research has also taken us beyond our own doors. Over the years we've travelled internationally to work alongside manufacturing partners, explore new flavour trends and gain a better understanding of the latest developments within the industry. Those experiences continue to influence how every new QSalts flavour is developed.

Milestones are worth celebrating, but they're also a reminder that there's always room to improve.

One million bottles is a milestone we're incredibly proud of, but it's not the finish line. We'll keep testing and raising our own standards, just as we have for the last four years.
