What is Vaping?
The term Vaping or to Vape describes the use of an Advanced Personal Vapouriser (APV).
An APV comprises in most cases of 4 parts:
- Head - known as a cartomiser or clearomiser
- Charger - chargers vary depending on the battery you choose
There are many varieties of APV on the market today, but they all essentially do the same thing:
The battery provides power to the atomiser (head) which then heats or vaporises the E-Liquid turning it into vapour.
This is then inhaled.
E-Liquid comes in many varieties of strengths and flavours.
One of the common misconceptions surrounding vaping is that all E-Liquids used in APVs contain Nicotine.
This is not true.
E-Liquid Nicotine Strength can vary from 0% to High Nicotine content; to suit each individual's preference.
The most common Nicotine strengths currently on the market range from 0mg - 24mg. However, with regulations coming up soon, this will change to a maximum of 20mg nicotine.
Where Do I Start?
Decide how many cigarettes you usually smoke a day.
A casual smoker will only need a kit with a smaller E-Liquid capacity, and in turn will probably choose a weaker E-Liquid.
A heavy smoker will need to get set up with something that doesn't let them down during the day, by running out of either battery power, or E-Liquid.
Our iQ300 or CLK kits are suited for beginners and regular users who are looking for a simple alternative to smoking.
Our iQSTICK and iQBOX Nano are great compact devices that pack a punch for those looking for longer lasting batteries and the capability to sub ohm.
For those looking for something even more premium, powerful and longer lasting we have our iQEDGE and iQBOX.
Building your own kit up using component parts from VAPEHQ is something you may want to try later on.
There are 2 ways to get yourself started:
- Purchasing a Starter Kit
- Purchasing each component separately
Purchasing A Starter Kit:
Starter Kits are a great introduction to Vaping as they contain everything you need. They are also the most cost effective introduction to Electronic Cigarettes as in most cases they can keep you Vaping for at least 3 months.
Purchasing Each Component Separately:
One of the great things about Electronic Cigarettes is that they are highly interchangeable.
This means you are not tied down to just one brand.
You can buy many different products from various manufacturers and in almost all cases they will connect with each other.
Sure; there are some batteries that require a unique charging unit, but the Heads will fit the majority of battery units; due to the standard 510 connector.
This is the screw thread size that connects the Head to the Battery in most cases.
Picking a new colour for your vaporiser battery, or trying a brand new type of head for that trusty old unit is usually just a case of screwing it on.
Are Electronic Cigarettes A Way To Stop Smoking?
That all depends on the individual and their attitude towards quitting.
The short answer is no.
APVs are not an NRT (Nicotine Replacement Therapy) and as such can not be sold or purchased for the purposes of stopping smoking; like a patch, or a gum.
They do, however, provide an alternative.
So the long answer could be yes....
Many thousands of users have already switched to using APVs as an alternative to traditional tobacco based cigarettes and have felt the benefits that this change can bring.
Improved personal health and hygiene, more wealth due to the low cost of APVs compared to tobacco, no harm done to passive vapers, no more bad smells in the car, home or on your clothes; and so the list of benefits goes on.
STOP smoking and START Vaping today.
